Sunflowers at Longwood Gardens
– Published in the May 2005 issue of “Quilting Arts” magazine along with my article on painting with these watercolor crayons.
Center panel is one piece of fabric, painted with Caran D’Ache Neocolor II watercolor crayons and heatset. Machine pieced borders & free-motion quilted with rayon and metallic thread.
Based on a photograph I took of some gorgeous, tall sunflowers swaying in the breeze one summer at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA.
