Machine appliqued with monofilament and a blind hem, fused applique, rayon thread.
Snow quilts are challenging but if you think beyond pure white, you can have fun with the fabrics, as often there are multiple colors in snow depending on the light – lavender, blues, even peach. I really enjoy creating tree quilts, and when we lived in snow country (upstate NY) for 8 years, the seemingly almost constant snow cover became a theme in my work.
