Center panel is one piece of fabric, painted with Caran D’Ache Neocolor II watercolor crayons and heatset. Machine pieced borders & free-motion quilted with rayon and metallic thread.
Inspired by the summer bounty from our garden, I painted tomatoes, a jalapeno pepper and a red onion using the water-soluble crayons, then added some pieced borders and quilted some detail. Who doesn’t love a food quilt!
