Purple Coneflowers in August
– Published on the cover of the May 2005 issue of “Quilting Arts” magazine along with my article on painting with these watercolor crayons.
Center panel is one piece of fabric, painted with Caran D’Ache Neocolor II watercolor crayons and heatset. Machine pieced borders & free-motion quilted with rayon and metallic thread.
My second creation using the Caran D’Ache Neocolor II watercolor crayons (see art quilt titled “Sunflowers at Longwood Gardens” for my other piece using these).
