Who doesn’t love a cow quilt! Buttercup is based on an actual cow with ear tag “4221” on a farm around the corner from us. The cows appeared this spring, and one day while driving past, I noticed they were all clustered near the road, so I went back home to get my camera. All of them were very curious about me, and several walked up close to the fence to check me out. I just knew 4221 had to be turned into an art quilt, and given that the wild Buttercups were in bloom at the same time in early June, she had to be called Buttercup.
