Snow painted with Setacolor textile paints, machine appliqued, fused applique, free-motion quilting with rayon threads.
Based on a gnarled old apple tree in our backyard, that used to be part of a 30-acre sheep farm. My tree quilt is a semi-abstract interpretation of that winter scene. The slightly glittery nature of some of the Setacolor paints adds a nice subtle shimmer to the snow!
