Our feline buddies:

(There are 3 more to add to this page but these are our indoor-only companions!)

Bean is our newest addition, shown here at a week old, and at a year old. She was our rescued feral baby who we found in our potting shed when her mama moved the litter and left her behind! We bottle fed her every 2-3 hours for 2 weeks (yes, we set the alarm twice during the nights!) and is an amazing, healthy, energetic, small dilute tortoiseshell, whom we adore. She looks like a monkey, literally, in that first photo!

Chessie, at 1 year, 3 months (yes, she "dances on the railing" - she's quite the gymnast!): ...photographed below at about 8 weeks (it's so hard to remember her being that tiny!):

Chauncey, age 6 months, whose name morphed into "Noodle" or "Noodle Bear" because he developed an attraction to chicken noodle soup, and did not have the personality of a "Chauncey":

This page for my cats wouldn't be complete without a tribute to my 2 very-longtime companions, Quimby and Splat.
Quimby was my buddy from 8/1988-12/2006 (19.5 years), a rescued kitty from Lambertville, NJ, by my friend Teri. He developed megacolon around the age of 5, had surgery, was on a special diet, always suffered from matted fur, but lived to the ripe ol' age of 19 and a half!

... and Splat, who was my shadow from 12/1988-11/2005 (17 years). She was also a great companion who loved to play fetch with her fuzzy balls, and who would occasionally just up and swat Quimby for no reason (typical female cat!). At age 13, she developed hyperthyoidism and was on methimazole, liquid form ordered from special compounding pharmacies, for the rest of her life. I wonder why that is so common in cats. Something missing in their commercial diets?
